Looking For the Ultimate Sport for You and Your Dog?

Maybe Flyball is for you!  So what is Flyball? Flyball is a relay race for dogs and a team sport for both of you.  A team of four dogs race against an opposing team in timed heats. The course consists of a fifty one foot runway with four jumps, spaced ten feet apart from each other. The dogs have to trigger a machine called a box and get a ball to bring back to their owner. Flyball is drag racing for dogs!

balisticRacersFlyball originated in the late 60’s and early 70’s in southern California. The original box inventor debuted his invention and the sport on the Johnny Carson show in the early 70’s. Now, Flyball is all over the United States, in Canada and some foreign countries.

Is Flyball fun for my dog? Flyball is more fun for your dog than you can imagine. At tournaments you can see dogs running, barking, jumping, and having the time of their lives. Not only is it fun for your dog, but also for you! Flyball demonstrations and tournaments are like a combination of a dog sport and camping all in one. Camps are set up with easy-ups to provide shade for dogs and people. Barbecuing, eating, planning, and visiting are just a few of the things that go on at a tournament. We on Ballistic Racers Flyball Team want to be competitive, but we also intend to always have fun with our dogs. We are looking for intelligent, fast, ball motivated dogs.
